An e PAN card APPLY is the electronic version of the physical PAN card through e-PAN issued by the Income Tax Department of India. It is valid and can be used for all PAN related purposes.
Step 1 – Visit the official website NSDL e-Governance portal or UTIITSL portal.
Select ‘Apply for e-PAN’
Click on option to Apply for e-PAN. This service can be accessed through the “Instant PAN” option on the official Income Tax e-filing portal.
Step 2 – Enter Aadhaar details
Type in your 12-Digit Aadhaar Number.
Step 3 – Your mobile number is registered to your Aadhaar, and your details (like name, and date of birth) are up to date.
Log in with OTP An OTP is sent to your registered mobile number. Use this OTP to check your Aadhaar details.
Step 4 – Confirm availability and go Submit Make sure your name, date of birth and other details match your Aadhaar profile.
Submit the application.
Step 5 – Upload photograph and signature (if applicable) Some platforms may ask you to upload a scanned passport size photo and signature. Files must be of specified format and size.
Step 6 – Pay the fee (if applicable)
The e-PAN application may involve a nominal fee.The payment can be made via debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.Download your e-PAN
Once approved, you can download the e-PAN in PDF format.A copy will also be sent to your registered email ID.

E-PAN is a digitally signed Permanent Account Number (PAN) card issued by the Income Tax Department in electronic format (PDF). It holds the same validity as a physical PAN card.
